As your representative, it is my duty to pursue the abolition of any form of government overreach that is harmful to your freedom or prosperity.
That’s why I drafted Indiana House Bill 1129 this year.
Upon passage, this legislation will prohibit the sale of property due to delinquent taxes, ensuring that an individual’s homestead may not be seized, offered for sale, or auctioned due to delinquent property taxes owed by the individual.
With inflation steadily increasing, those who live on a fixed income are facing tough decisions. Citizens who own their property should not have to choose between paying property taxes or feeding themselves. After working hard for what they have, they should be allowed to enjoy the fruits of their labor peacefully and freely.
Since the Biden Administration took office, prices across the country have skyrocketed! Inflation is occurring at an unprecedented rate, and more people are feeling the weight of financial pressure.
After all, why should you be forced to pay “rent” on property that you already own?
Unfortunately, tyranny seems to be at an all-time high in America as many elected officials have lost sight of their purpose. Instead of working for the best interests of the people and the success of our country, they have been seeking to benefit themselves.
How do we win against such a political culture?
We win by continuing to speak out in favor of common-sense legislation until the narrative changes.
Thanks to your support, it has already begun to shift!
During my time in office, I’ve had the privilege of meeting thousands of fellow patriots from across this great state. You guys come from all walks of life. You love our country and want to see freedom reign.
Your dedication and encouragement remind me why I am here, and it is an honor to serve each of you.
If we don’t act now, these tiny tyrants will continue chipping away at our freedoms until there is nothing left. Together, we can restore common sense to the narrative and freedom to Indiana.
Sincerely,
Curt Nisly
State Representative
IN House District 22
P.S.
It’s common sense to any freedom loving Hoosier that the government shouldn’t take someone’s property over a ‘government fee’; that we are guaranteed our 2nd Amendment rights; that we should have bodily autonomy rather than medical mandates; that we are free people and want to live as such, etc.
But, for many politicians, freedom has become a foreign term.
I need your help to continue fighting against these absurd policies!
“When the people fear the government, that’s tyranny; when the government fears the people, that’s freedom.”
– Thomas Jefferson
