Our founding fathers established our Constitution not only to protect their own freedoms, but to protect the freedoms of future generations that would follow them.
The Constitution is full of inalienable rights that protect us from totalitarian rule.
One of the utmost important rights written was our Second Amendment. This amendment grants us the right to bear arms and states that right “shall not be infringed.”
The leftist agenda is attempting to strip you of this right and we MUST NOT allow it to happen.
I have fought to protect our constitutional right to bear arms throughout my time in office. In 2020, I presented House Bill 1211, a true Constitutional Carry bill that was simple and straightforward, with no anti-gun provisions.
This bill would have restored the right of law-abiding citizens in Indiana to carry a handgun, openly or concealed, without first having to obtain a permit or pay a fee.
The Second Amendment not only allows you to defend your own property and home, but more importantly, it allows citizens to protect our great country from government overreach.
History shows that atrocities are often committed by a government after disarming the citizens. Nazi Germany, The Soviet Union, Cuba and Venezuela are just some of the repressive regimes that disarmed their citizens before committing heinous acts against their own people.
Between October 1996 and September 1997, Australia confiscated upwards of 650,000 privately owned guns.
Today in Australia, we are unfortunately witnessing ongoing government oppression. Citizens are being stripped of their rights and the people no longer have the option of defending their homeland.
The country that allowed itself to no longer carry guns is now facing the unfortunate consequences of that decision.
It is more important now than ever to support the men and women who are committed to defending our Constitutional rights.
The United States of America was built on bricks of freedom and represents an example of such for the rest of the world. It is our duty as Americans to continue building upon freedom when others are attempting to demolish it.
Tyranny seems to be coming at us from all angles, but I will not back down until freedom prevails!
