Southwest Airlines commercial flights are coming to a screeching halt. They quickly placed blame on the weather, but that doesn’t seem to be the problem. Unless, maybe, the weather only hinders Southwest Airlines flights?
The breaking news of cancellations, followed by an influx of angry customers, followed soon after the company informed its employees they would be enforcing a Covid19 vaccine mandate.
Rumor has it, many pilots and other staff are taking a stand for liberty by refusing to report to work in protest. The Southwest Airline Pilots Association has also filed a legal petition to temporarily block this Covid-19 vaccine mandate on behalf of SWA employees.
Let me be clear: This is not about whether you choose to vaccinate or choose not to vaccinate. This is about our freedom to choose no matter what side of the isle we find ourselves on.
This is about protecting against tyranny.
We have seen many similar bullying tactics used on our hospital staff here in Indiana. Last year, as they trudged through the pandemic, they were hailed as heroes. This year, their livelihood is in jeopardy if they don’t comply with vaccine mandates. They now find themselves demonized for defending their right to make their own medical decisions.
I have a few questions for those in favor of mandates…
•Why are we firing medical professionals if we are in the middle of a pandemic?
•Should we be concerned that the same vaccine being mandated across the country has medical professionals refusing it for themselves, to the point that they are willing to walk away from their careers?
•How is it safe to pack hundreds of passengers into an airplane for recreational travel, yet at the same time, the pandemic is too dangerous for us to make our own medical decisions as free Americans?
Applying common sense seems to go a long way when trying to figure out what’s really happening in our country right now. Something doesn’t add up, and just like my fellow Americans who are emerging as heroes left and right, I will not give in.
Bodily autonomy is a God-given right and it is not up for negotiation.
Help me continue the fight for freedom in Indiana, protecting our state against mandates and government overreach.
Now, more than ever, we must work together to defend liberty. I sincerely appreciate your support. It is an honor to represent the people of this great state.
